Crystal Palace, Fulham vying for Regis Le Bris

Samuel Chukwueze set to join Fulham as deal agreed.

Crystal Palace and Fulham are reportedly interested in 50-year-old French tactician Regis Le Bris, who has been superb for high-flying Premier League club Sunderland.

According to a report by TEAMtalk, Crystal Palace and Fulham are keen on landing Regis Le Bris. The 50-year-old has made considerable progress during his spell with Sunderland, and his exploits have piqued the attention of several Premier League clubs. However, the Black Cats want to tie Le Bris to a long-term contract amid emerging interest from rival outfits.

Regis Le Bris and his soaring stock

Regis Le Bris has established himself as one of the best young managers in the Premier League in the 2025/26 season. A native of Pont-l’Abbe, he was a centre-back and spent his professional career in France before hanging up his boots in 2003. The Frenchman entered the managerial sphere soon after, and he has not looked back since then.

The 50-year-old cut his teeth at the youth level for a decade before becoming the head coach of Lorient FC’s reserve side in 2015. However, Le Bris finally rose in prominence during his long stint with Lorient FC’s senior team before joining Sunderland at the onset of the 2024/25 season.

The French tactician helped Sunderland return to the Premier League after eight years, and the Black Cats have stunned English football by rising to sixth in the standings this term. So, it is hardly surprising that Le Bris’s stock has skyrocketed, with Crystal Palace and Fulham among his prospective suitors.

A man in demand

Crystal Palace’s interest in Regis Le Bris is hardly surprising. The Eagles are in a spot of bother over Oliver Glasner’s long-term future, as the Austrian tactician is a target for several Premier League bigwigs, including Liverpool. So, the 2024/25 FA Cup winners have kept their options, with Le Bris an option to replace Glasner.

As for Fulham, Marco Silva’s long-term future is uncertain, as talks over a new contract have not been smooth. While the Cottagers want an agreement before the year ends, they are also combing the market for a replacement if the Portuguese tactician departs from Craven Cottage in the coming months. So, Le Bris has emerged as a target for Fulham.

The 50-year-old Frenchman is also a target for Bournemouth, as widespread reports have linked Andoni Iraola with Premier League bigwigs. However, Sunderland will aim to secure Le Bris’s long-term future with a new contract. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for the French tactician.
