Predicted Liverpool lineup against Arsenal: Mac Allister in contention; Bradley set for first start of the season

Conor Bradley will make his first start of the 2025/26 Premier League season when Liverpool and Arsenal face off at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool will aim to continue the perfect start to the 2025/26 Premier League season when they welcome Arsenal to Anfield on Sunday evening. Arne Slot has received a positive update on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Alexis Mac Allister has resumed training after missing the game against Newcastle United due to a knock. Conor Bradley has also gained more rhythm with his work on the training pitch ahead of the game against Arsenal.

However, Jeremie Frimpong remains unavailable due to a hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined until after the international break. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Slot discussed the fitness of Bradley, Mac Allister, and Virgil van Dijk.

The Liverpool manager said, “I think the positive is that Conor Bradley only had one or two training sessions before the Newcastle game, he has trained this week the whole week – [well] not the whole week as there are still two days to go.”

Responding to questions about Mac Allister and van Dijk, Slot said, “Mac Allister has also started training again so I don’t think we had any injuries coming out of that game [at Newcastle], no. And Virgil [van Dijk] is also OK.”

Alisson Becker will retain his spot between the sticks, with Liverpool lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Arsenal on Sunday. The backline should see one change, with Conor Bradley appearing in the starting lineup for the first time in the 2025/26 season. The homegrown full-back will accompany Ibrahima Konate, Virgil van Dijk, and Milos Kerkez in the defensive quartet.

As for the midfield unit, Dominik Szoboszlai will line up alongside Ryan Gravenberch in the double pivot after starting as a right-back against Newcastle United. Florian Wirtz will reprise the no. 10 role, with Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah being the two wide attackers. Finally, Hugo Ekitike will lead the line for the reigning champions against Arsenal. So, Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa will be backup options on the bench.

Predicted Liverpool XI: Alisson; Bradley, Konate, van Dijk, Kerkez; Szoboszlai, Gravenberch; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike
