Paul Robinson predicts major overhaul and Ange Postecoglou sacking at Tottenham

Paul Robinson has predicted an overhaul of sorts at Tottenham in the summer while insisting Ange Postecoglou will be sacked.

According to Football Insider, former Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper predicted an overhaul of sports waiting to happen in the summer. The club icon also insisted manager Ange Postecoglou will be relieved of his role in the close season.

Tottenham have endured one of their worst seasons to date in the Premier League era, as they are currently 15th in the standings after posting their 17th loss of the season. That defeat at the hands of Wolves ensured they have lost more games than they have played this season in the top flight, which has increased the pressure on Ange Postecoglou.

The manager is reportedly facing the sack in the summer irrespective of what happens in the Europa League. There are plenty of names linked, with the most recent report on the situation suggesting Spurs are open to triggering Thomas Frank’s release clause.

Meanwhile, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson commented on the club’s situation and predicted an overhaul in the summer. The club icon also insisted that Postecoglou will be sacked although stated they are likely to keep hold of high-value players like Destiny Udogie.

Robinson said, “You can see another overhaul coming at Tottenham,”

“They’ll look to bring in a new manager and a new set of players potentially. “I think Udogie is going to be one of the ones that the club are reluctant to let go.

“He’s got a decent length left on his contract and he’s been one of Tottenham’s best players this season, he’s been a standout performer.”

Are Tottenham ready for an overhaul?

Tottenham are looking at many younger players to build their project, although they are likely to do so without Postecoglou. However, some players are ready to leave the club such as La Liga-linked Cristian Romero.

Tottenham are indeed keen to keep hold of Udogie, who was recently linked with Manchester City over a potential summer move. By selling some of the high-profile players as well as letting some of the older guards like Son Heung-min leave, Spurs could be staring ahead at a new way of building their squad.
