Endrick will start in a much-changed Real Madrid starting lineup against Deportivo Alaves at the Mendizorrotza Stadium on Sunday.
Real Madrid will be eager to return to winning ways when they lock horns with Deportivo Alaves at the Mendizorrotza Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Carlo Ancelotti has greeted a positive update on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
Dani Ceballos is fit and available after recovering from a knee injury, with Ancelotti naming the Spanish international in the travelling squad. However, Andriy Lunin, Ferland Mendy, Dani Carvajal, and Eder Militao remain on the sidelines. While Lunin and Mendy should return soon, Caravajl and Militao have played their final games for the 2024/25 season.
Ancelotti had also been sweating over the fitness of David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger. However, the defensive duo is fit and available, although they should receive some rest this weekend. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, the Italian tactician confirmed Ceballos’s availability.
The Real Madrid manager said, “He’s available for tomorrow and for Wednesday.”
Ancelotti also discussed what he wanted to see from his players this weekend. He said, “I want to see a Madrid that is capable of getting back our good feelings. It’s clear that everyone is thinking about Wednesday’s match, but that depends on tomorrow’s performance. We’re still in the fight for the league, we have to play well and win.”
Thibaut Courtois will retain his spot between the sticks, with Real Madrid lining up in a 4-2-3-1 formation in front of him against Deportivo Alaves on Sunday. The backline should feature Lucas Vazquez, Raul Asencio, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Fran Garcia.
As for the midfield unit, Eduardo Camavinga is an automatic pick alongside Luka Modric in the double pivot, considering he will not play against Arsenal next week due to suspension. Arda Guler will reprise the no. 10 role, with Rodrygo and Brahim Diaz being the two wide attackers. Finally, Endrick should lead the line for the away side, with Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe getting some rest.
Predicted Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Vazquez, Asencio, Tchouameni, Fran Garcia; Camavinga, Modric; Brahim, Guler, Rodrygo; Endrick
