Predicted Manchester United lineup against Everton: Ugarte in for Casemiro; Yoro in contention

Manuel Ugarte will replace Casemiro in the Manchester United starting lineup against Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday.

Manchester United will be eager to return to winning ways when they lock horns with Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon. Ruben Amorim has greeted positive updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Leny Yoro, Christian Eriksen, and Manuel Ugarte are available after missing last weekend’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur. In addition, Toby Collyer is closing in on returning to action.

However, Collyer (muscle), Altay Bayindir (unspecified), Jonny Evans (lower back), Lisandro Martinez (knee), Luke Shaw (calf), Kobbie Mainoo (muscle), Amad Diallo (ankle), and Mason Mount (hamstring) remain on the sidelines this weekend. Meanwhile, during his pre-match press conference, Amorim provided a fitness update on several players.

The Manchester United manager said, “Chris, Manu and Leny return and, with Chris, it was a misunderstanding. I want to be really clear on that also, because of Chris. He’s healthy and ready to play for many years in a high level. It’s just my limitations explaining the injuries. I want to make this really clear. It’s hard to know [about the others].”

“Amad is for a long time. I think Mase [Mount] continues to make his recovery. Luke [Shaw] continues to make his recovery. I don’t have a day [for his return]. Toby [Collyer] seems to be the closest one, but not now.”

The Manchester United boss continued, “Kobbie [Mainoo] is recovering. We have to adapt to use the players we have for the schedule. Altay [Bayindir] is making a recovery, Tom [Heaton] is making a recovery. Again, I don’t have a day, but they are recovering.”

Andre Onana is an automatic pick between the sticks, with Manchester United lining up in a 3-4-2-1 formation in front of him against Everton on Saturday. The central defensive unit should feature Noussair Mazraoui, Harry Maguire, and Matthijs de Ligt, while Diogo Dalot and Patrick Dorgu will continue as the two wing-backs.

As for the midfield unit, Bruno Fernandes should pair up with Manuel Ugarte in the middle of the park, with Casemiro dropping to the bench. Finally, Rasmus Hojlund will lead the line for the away side against Everton, with Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee completing the numbers in the offensive trifecta.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Onana; Mazraoui, Maguire, de Ligt; Dalot, Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes, Dorgu; Zirkzee, Garnacho; Hojlund
