Manchester United need to pay €20 million to have chance of landing Ruben Amorim

Manchester United are reportedly considering 38-year-old Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim as a replacement for Erik ten Hag.

A report by A Bola via Sport Witness has claimed that Manchester United will have to pay €20 million to bring Ruben Amorim to Old Trafford. Apparently, the Portuguese manager has a release clause in his contract which suitors will have to trigger if they want the 38-year-old as their next manager.

The Red Devils have had a disappointing season by their standards so far, and questions have been raised regarding Erik ten Hag’s credentials. Manchester United were expected to compete for the league title, but they are eighth in the table right now.

The Dutchman is under a lot of pressure and could be sacked if the results do not improve soon. Amorim has been identified as a potential replacement, and it remains to be seen whether Manchester United decide to bring him in.

The 38-year-old has shown his quality with Sporting CP, and he could be an exciting addition for the Red Devils. Amorim’s attacking approach could be a good fit for Manchester United with their current set of players as well.

The opportunity to manage a big club like Manchester United can be quite tempting for any manager, and the highly-rated tactician will certainly be excited to join them. He will want to showcase his qualities at the highest level.

In addition to that, Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and they have the resources to sign the best players. The 38-year-old will feel that he can challenge for major trophies with their resources if he joins the Premier League club.

The reported €20 million release clause should not be a problem for Manchester United given their resources. It remains to be seen whether Erik ten Hag can get Manchester United’s campaign back on track in the coming months. He could be shown the door soon if the results do not improve in the coming weeks.
