Manchester United are considering appointing Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager amid uncertainty over Erik ten Hag’s future.
According to a report by Football Insider, Manchester United are keen on having Roberto De Zerbi on their bench. The Brighton & Hove Albion manager has been doing wonders since taking charge of the Premier League club, and his impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention.
The Red Devils are one of the clubs keen on appointing the 44-year-old as their new boss. Erik ten Hag is struggling to get the desired results. As a result, there are question marks over his future. The current ownership is in favour of keeping the Dutch manager. But Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his people might sack ten Hag.
Ratcliffe has been in the race to buy Manchester United for a while now. The British billionaire is looking to buy 25 per cent of the club. He aims to buy 100 per cent of the club in the next few years, and the first step of the phased takeover will be acquiring a minority stake.
Once the purchase is complete, Ratcliffe and his company INEOS are expected to run football operations at Old Trafford. And, they might want to sack ten Hag to start things off. The new ownership will look to implement a new playing style, and they aim to a complete overhaul of the coaching set-up at Old Trafford.

They are eighth on the point tables with five losses and five wins in their 10 league outings. As a result, Ratcliffe is considering sacking the former Ajax manager. Manchester United will have to fork out over £15 million to get rid of the 53-year-old.
