David Alaba and Rodrygo Goes will return to the Real Madrid starting lineup against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Saturday.
Real Madrid will look to remain perched atop La Liga when they lock horns with Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on Saturday evening. And Carlo Ancelotti has greeted positive updates on the team news front ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
David Alaba and Arda Guler have recovered from their respective injuries, with the former a part of the travelling squad. But Dani Ceballos has picked up a muscle injury that will keep him on the sidelines for some time.
The Spaniard has joined Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao in the treatment room, with the duo recovering from long-term knee injuries. Meanwhile, Ancelotti provided a fitness update on several players during his pre-match press conference.
He said, “The players from South America have recovered well and have trained well. Everyone’s available, including Alaba, who has recovered from his injury. We’ve had a slight problem with Ceballos on Thursday and he won’t be available. It’s an important week and we think we’re well prepared for it.”

“Valverde, Vini Jr. and Rodrygo seem to have recovered well and are fresh. I have to think about it for tomorrow, but they’re ready to start and finish the game. I have a good look at everyone. Arda has been doing pretty well.”
“He lacks a bit of fitness, but he’ll get his chance. I think he’ll be ready in 10 or 15 days. He’s an attacking player and can play in every position. He’s not a centre forward. He’s a number 10 because of his characteristics, but he can also play out wide. He can play in other positions.”
Alaba’s return means he will bolster Ancelotti’s backline, joining Antonio Rudiger in the central defensive unit. The duo will accompany Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy at the back, with Kepa Arrizabalaga taking his spot between the sticks.
As for the midfield unit, Aurelien Tchouameni will move into the middle of the park after starting as a centre-back against Osasuna. The French international will join Federico Valverde, Eduardo Camavinga, and Jude Bellingham in the centre of the pitch, with Bellingham featuring at the tip of the diamond. Finally, Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior will be the two strikers, with Joselu dropping to the bench.
Predicted Real Madrid XI: Kepa; Carvajal, Rudiger, Alaba, Mendy; Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga; Bellingham; Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr.
