Tottenham Hotspur are pushing hard to sign former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann as their new boss.
According to a report by Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Julian Nagelsmann on their bench ahead of next season. The former Bayern Munich boss is one of the most sought-after managers in world football at this point in time, and Daniel Levy is desperate to have him lead their new project.
Spurs have been on the lookout for a new manager ever since they parted ways with Antonio Conte. The Italian manager had a decent track record at the London club. However, he failed to end their trophy drought.
While his position at the club was well secured, their Champions League exit at the hands of AC Milan created some panic. And a few days later, Conte blasted the players and the management in a press conference which made the situation even worst.
Spurs were left with no other option than to sack the former Chelsea boss. Post that they have been trying to recruit a new boss and Nagelsmann is the favourite to take charge of the club.
The 35-year-old had an impressive track record at Bayern. He had only lost three out of the 37 matches he was in charge of in the ongoing season. Despite that, he was sacked by the club’s hierarchy because things were not really that good in the dressing room.
A few of their senior players were not happy with Nagelsmann, and the club saw no progress under him. Ever since he parted ways with the German giants, Spurs have been following him closely. They believe he is the perfect man to lead their new project.
They want a manager who can implement an attacking style of play and give opportunities to the youngsters. And, Nagelsmann perfectly fits the bill. However, Tottenham are not the only club interested in his services. There are multiple top clubs from across Europe who have their eyes on the German manager. As a result, Spurs will have to push hard and act as fast as possible to land the 35-year-old at the club.
