Thibaut Courtois and Aurelien Tchouameni will return to the starting lineup when Real Madrid and Sevilla face off at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.
Real Madrid will look to continue the unbeaten start to the season when they welcome Sevilla to the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night. And Carlo Ancelotti has a near full-strength squad at his disposal ahead of his side’s latest fixture.
Thibaut Courtois is fit and available after recovering from a back injury. The Belgian international is in the Real Madrid matchday squad to take on Sevilla. Dani Ceballos is the only notable absentee for Los Blancos, but his absence will not hurt the hosts much.
Ancelotti spoke about Courtois returning during his pre-match press conference. In addition, the Real Madrid manager addressed a few other issues, including the lack of game-time for Marco Asensio.
“The team are doing well. Courtois is back and we’ll see about the rest. Ceballos is out. Any changes I make are just to try to prevent future problems. We’re on a good run of form and we have to carry on like this, being aware that every game is different and has its own difficulties. We’re up a side looking to get out of a tricky period.”

“He’s [Asensio] doing very well. He’s motivated and keen to play, like everyone else. He’s played in the few minutes I’ve given him and scored goals. He’s a player who can start a game with no problem or doubts.”
Asensio came off the bench to score Real Madrid’s third goal against Elche. But that will not be enough to earn a start against Sevilla this weekend. Instead, the Spaniard will likely make the starting eleven against RB Leipzig next week.
Vinicius Junior should take up the left-wing berth, with the in-form Federico Valverde starting on the opposite flank. And Karim Benzema will spearhead the Real Madrid attack against Sevilla. Rodrygo Goes will drop to the bench despite an impressive showing versus Elche.
Aurelien Tchouameni should return to the starting lineup this weekend, sitting at the base of the midfield. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos will line up alongside the French international, with Eduardo Camavinga being an option on the bench.
The only other change should see Ferland Mendy replacing Antonio Rudiger. So David Alaba will pair up with Ferland Mendy at the heart of the Real Madrid defence. Dani Carvajal will continue at right-back, with the fit-again Thibaut Courtois taking his place between the sticks.
Predicted Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Mendy; Modric, Tchouameni, Kroos; Valverde, Benzema, Vinicius Junior
