Arsenal have reportedly dismissed rumours about appointing Brazil national team manager Tite as a possible replacement for Mikel Arteta in 2023/24.

According to ESPN Brazil, an Arsenal source has denied the rumours regarding Brazil manager Tite, as they dismissed suggestions he could replace Mikel Arteta for the 2023/24 season. Reports insisted the Selecao boss could be headed to the Emirates, citing the close relationship with Gunners director Edu Gaspar.

This season, Arsenal have been on the ascendency as Mikel Arteta has found his rhythm at the club. The Spanish manager has been forced to take hard decisions ever since his appointment in December 2019, and this term, the team has been responding to his ideas well.

Apart from making Arsenal a competitive team on the pitch, Arteta has had to deal with plenty of issues in the background with expensive players and unwanted stars. Having shipped out the deadwood, the Gunners have managed to bring the overall wage bill just under £90 million.

It is one of the shining badges on Arteta’s armour as the Spaniard is looking to lead Arsenal to a top-four finish in the Premier League and bring Champions League football back to the Emirates. The former Arsenal midfielder looks at home in north London, and a move away from the club is the last thing on the minds of the manager or the club hierarchy.

Arteta has a contract until 2023, and Arsenal are aware that many other clubs, including PSG, are eyeing the Spaniard as an option. Despite the reported interest, the Gunners remain confident of retaining Arteta beyond 2023.

A new bumper contract is already in the works as Arsenal prepare to secure the Spaniard’s services beyond his current term. There is a widespread belief that he will remain at the club and continue with his project with an exciting young squad.

During the ongoing international break, rumours circulated on social media channels about Arsenal entering talks to appoint Brazil manager Tite as a possible replacement for Arteta ahead of the 2023/24 season. The news broke after Brazilian journalist Eric Faria was reportedly quoted to suggest talks have been held with Arsenal regarding the appointment.

However, ESPN have revealed that a source at Arsenal denied those rumours and dismissed speculation regarding Arteta’s future. Tite recently announced he could leave the Brazil role and might get back into club football management.

He has been rumoured to manage a club in Europe, and hence the links with Arsenal emerged. Moreover, it is also because of his close relationship with Edu Gaspar, when the pair worked together during the former Arsenal midfielder’s stint with the CBF. However, it seems that there is no truth to these speculations as the Gunners hope to continue with Arteta at the helm beyond 2023.
