Manchester United and Real Madrid are set to rival FC Barcelona in the pursuit of Artur Victor Guimaraes, who is valued at around €10 million.
According to El Nacional, Real Madrid and Manchester United are among the clubs interested in the services of Artur Victor Guimaraes. The Red Bull Bragantino forward is widely regarded as the “next Ronaldinho”, with many even considering him as the best forward in the Brazilian top-flight.
As a result, Artur has emerged as a target for multiple top clubs across Europe, including Manchester United, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Even RB Leipzig are eyeing a potential move for the attacker, with RB Bragantino being their sister club along with the two teams owned by the Red Bull group in Austria.
Formerly of Palmeiras, Artur moved to Bragantino in January 2020. Since then, the winger has notched up 98 competitive appearances, scoring 22 goals while supplying 23 more. His numbers might not be all too impressive, but the Brazilian has made a name for himself with his ability to effortlessly drift past opposition defenders.
Many now expect him to take the next step in his career by moving to Europe. A prominent scout Junior Calafat has already suggested Artur for Real Madrid, having previously unearthed talents like Rodrygo Goes and Vinicius Junior.
He could be the next big Brazilian talent to join Los Blancos, who are going through a transition and could welcome his addition to the team, especially amid the uncertain future of Marco Asensio.
In addition to Real Madrid, Manchester United are angling for a move for the Bragantino starlet, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on further offensive reinforcements. It is apparent that the club is set to lose out on Donny van be Deek in January amid interest from Newcastle United and Everton, while Jesse Lingard also faces an uncertain future at the club.
However, it remains unlikely that either of these clubs would succeed in their pursuit of Artur, largely because of the fact that the player favours a move to Barcelona. The 23-year-old has already rejected advances from Real Madrid and apparently wants to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Ronaldinho, by moving to Catalonia.
Barcelona themselves remain keen on securing a deal for the Brazilian as new coach Xavi looks to build the core of his new-look attack next season. Artur, in that regard, with a valuation of just €10 million, could prove to be a massive bargain for the club.
