Talented Manchester United youngster Martin Svidersky could be on his way out of the club amid interest from several clubs across Europe.
According to an exclusive report from Stretty News, Manchester United could be facing the prospect of losing one of their up and coming academy talents in Martin Svidersky, who clubs from Italy and Germany are courting.
Svidersky, 19, joined the Manchester United youth setup in April 2018 from Slovakian outfit Tatran Presov and has risen through the ranks to establish a foothold in the club’s reserve team, after he made 32 appearances for the Red Devils’ Under-18s in which he scored and assisted one goal apiece.
Svidersky, primarily a winger, has been used in the defensive midfield position this season with the reserves. And the youngster put up a solid showing despite playing in an unfamiliar role. To date, the 19-year-old has featured 19 times for Manchester United’s Under-23 outfit, in which he has registered two assists.
Svidersky, however, is in the final year of his contract with the 20-time English champions. The report states that Manchester United made a contract offer to the Slovakian Under-21 international only for him to turn it down, as he angles for a move away from Carrington.
It is claimed that the youngster is courting plenty of interest from Italy and Germany with clubs like Atalanta, Napoli, Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG Hoffenheim, believed to be keen on securing his services.
Manchester United have a rich history of bringing in young talent and handing them opportunities with the first-team, a tradition that manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has continued in his tenure. Several youth players have been given a chance by the Norwegian during his stint as the first-team boss.
Mason Greenwood, Brandon Williams and Anthony Elanga are some of the many players who have tasted senior football under Solskjaer. In fact, Manchester United remain on the lookout to bolster their youth ranks further and have recently been linked with a move for Manchester City sensation James McAtee.
The Mancunian giants have also shown an interest in Real Madrid’s defensive prodigy Marvel. However, Svidersky seems to have not been convinced by his prospects of making it to the first team. The youngster is, thus, seeking an exit when his contract runs out at the end of the season. It remains to be seen if Manchester United convince him to change his decision and sign an extension.
