Transfer News: Everton, AC Milan, Juventus vying for Donny van de Beek

Everton, AC Milan, and Juventus are all interested in signing Donny van de Beek in January to give him a way out of his current situation at Manchester United.

According to Fichajes, Donny van de Beek’s Manchester United situation is quite concerning. The young Dutchman has continued to struggle to earn regular game-time at Old Trafford. He is now open to pushing for a move away from the club in the coming transfer window, with Everton, AC Milan, and Juventus all vying for his signature.

The 24-year-old was persuaded to stick around by Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and was promised regular minutes to prove his worth. However, that has not happened yet as the Dutchman has only accumulated six minutes in the Premier League and 45 in the Champions League.

His situation at Manchester has left van de Beek frustrated to the point that the relationship with his coach is utterly strained. He feels massively unfavored, and more recently, he exhibited bitterness on the bench after Jesse Lingard and Fred were preferred over him in the Red Devils’ midweek game against Villareal.

The Dutchman has not enjoyed enough opportunities to showcase his talent at Manchester United, and his representatives have already started working to find an escape route for him. It is understood there is no shortage of suitors with clubs from all around Europe interested in securing the Ajax academy product. As a result, his representatives are evaluating all possible destinations at the moment.

Everton might renew their pursuit with a January loan swoop for the Dutch midfielder after failing to sign him on transfer deadline day this summer. The Toffees have recently been tipped to make a move for Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff, which means they are actively scouring the market for James Rodriguez’s replacement, who has already departed Goodison Park.

There’s no denying that Everton lack quality in midfield, and a move for van de Beek would showcase their ambition to push for the European spots. Moreover, a chance to learn under the tutelage of an elite tactician in Rafael Benitez, who has already transformed Abdoulaye Doucoure, would be an attractive proposition for the Manchester United outcast.

Everton, though, are set to face stiff competition from Italian giants Juventus and AC Milan. The Rossoneri want to reinforce their midfield, with Franck Kessie snubbing a renewal offer from the club. The Ivorian enforcer may likely leave San Siro as a free agent next summer, which will force the club to dip in the market to find an adequate replacement and van de Beek, with his promising potential and box-to-box ability, certainly fits the profile.

Juventus, meanwhile, are looking to reduce their bloated wage bill by letting go of several stars in Aaron Ramsay and Weston Mckennie. The Bianconeri may require a short-term replacement to add quality depth. Van de Beek, 24, was once a promising prospect and him being available on a loan deal that should sway the Turin club towards him.

It sets the stage up perfectly for a likely transfer battle in the upcoming January transfer window as Everton, AC Milan, and Juventus are all set for a three-way battle to acquire the services of the 24-year-old Dutch sensation, whose fortunes at Manchester United continue to take a hit.
