Transfer News: Arsenal among clubs interested in Noa Lang

Arsenal have reportedly emerged as a potential suitor for Noa Lang and are set to compete with Leicester City and AC Milan for the pursuit of Club Brugge winger.

According to a recent report from Fichajes, Arsenal are in the market for Noa Lang. The 22-year-old Club Brugge attacker has become a hot prospect in the market, with the Gunners being joined by AC Milan and Leicester City in his pursuit.

It is believed that Lang could be available next summer for a fee of just €22 million, with Arsenal identifying him as a potential option in Mikel Arteta’s bid to reinforce the offensive department.

The report comes just a few days after Lang’s Man of the Match performance against Paris Saint-Germain, starring in the 1-1 draw and emerging as the best performer in a game that included the likes of Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Aside from his performance in the Champions League, Lang has made a solid impression in the Jupiler Pro League as well, being involved in as many as 22 goals last term. The Dutch winger has hit the ground running in the new season as well, taking part in eight goals in nine competitive matches.

His exploits in the final third have put Arsenal on red alert, as they actively search the market for attacking reinforcements. The Gunners have been recently linked with a swoop for Youssef En-Nesyri in a player plus cash deal involving Alexandre Lacazette. But in Noa Lang, they can spice up their creative options, adding more competition for the likes of Bukayo Saka, Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli.

Formerly of the Ajax youth academy, Lang was close to joining Leeds United in the summer. But the deal collapsed as Club Brugge were holding out for €30 million, forcing the Whites to settle for the services of Daniel James on deadline day.

Arsenal are now ready to launch a fresh assault on the young Dutchman next summer, although, given the current depth in the squad, Arteta may have to sanction the sale of one of his star players. Nicolas Pepe could be an option as the Ivorian has continued to struggle at the Emirates, though it is fair to point out the recent interest surrounding Bukayo Saka.
