Transfer News: Kamaldeen Sulemana on Manchester United radar

Manchester United are among clubs interested in the services of Nordsjaelland whizkid Kamaldeen Sulemana, who could cost around €11.5 million.

According to Goal, Kamaldeen Sulemana could be on the verge of a move to a top club, having become one of the hot prospects in the transfer market this summer. He is already courted by Manchester United, while Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen and Olympique Lyon are keeping a close eye on his development.

Nordsjaelland, though, could demand around €11.5 million for the services of Sulemana, who has recently won Danish Superliga Player of the Month and Young Player of the Month awards simultaneously in April – becoming the first player in the competition’s history to do so.

It is perhaps enough to suggest the success Kamaldeen has had since his move to Nordsjaelland last summer. Signed on a free transfer from the Right to Dream academy in Ghana, the left-sided winger has already been involved in a total of ten goals in just 20 Superligaen matches this season.

The 19-year-old’s contributions in the final third have been useful in helping Nordsjaelland remain in the top six. He is, in fact, the club’s most productive player, which hasn’t gone unnoticed at all, as evident by the interest shown by Manchester United among many other clubs across Europe.

There is no secret that the Red Devils are in the market for a new winger this summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer keen on bolstering his attacking options.

One of their priority targets has been Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund, but the club has shown the desire to try their luck with young players as well and it has been evident in the development of players like Scott McTominay, Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in recent years. Sulemana could be another such addition to the squad, adding more depth in United’s attacking ranks.

It is, though, fair to point out that the 19-year-old might have to spend a loan spell away from Old Trafford before he can be considered for the first team. Players like Axel Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams have already been linked with a temporary move away from the club, so it won’t be surprising to see Sulemana meeting the same fate, should he join the Red Devils.

Manchester United, however, may have a tough time signing the Nordsjaelland attacker in the first-place. The player reportedly shares an excellent relationship with Ajax starlet Mohamed Kudus, and it won’t be surprising to see him reunite in Amsterdam next season rather than moving to the Premier League in the summer.
