Transfer News: Real Madrid to include Gareth Bale in offer to sign Harry Kane

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to offer Gareth Bale plus cash in a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur superstar Gareth Bale in the summer.

According to Diario Gol, Real Madrid have identified Harry Kane as a potential alternative for their top targets in Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. The Tottenham Hotspur striker is believed to be far less expensive compared to the other targets, which is why the club has now devised a plan to sign the player.

One of their valuable assets in Gareth Bale plays a key role in Real Madrid’s plan to sign Kane this summer. Reportedly valued at around €30 million, the Spanish giants are willing to offer Bale plus €50 million for the Englishman, with coach Zinedine Zidane determined to solve his problem in the number nine position.

The club has appeared overly reliant on the services of Karim Benzema, in regards to productivity ever since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, the Frenchman himself is nearing the final phase of his career, meaning Real Madrid need to find a long-term fix in the centre-forward role, with Kane appearing as an ideal option.

The Spurs forward has been one of the best strikers in Europe this season with his performances in front of goal. His combination with Son Heung-min has fired the Lilywhites back into the top four contention, but with the club constantly failing to compete for silverware, the Englishman is now keen on seeking a move away from north London.

Bale, in contrast, will be looking for something different altogether, having already everything during his time at Real Madrid. And now at the twilight of his career, the Welshman is primarily interested in regular game-time, which is something Spurs have offered recently, although the winger likely has to take a pay cut in order to prolong his second spell at his old club.

A direct swap deal between the two players, therefore, seems like a logical move, especially for Real Madrid. Los Blancos can not only bag the services of one of the best forwards in Europe but also get rid of an expensive fringe player.

Kane himself serves as a relatively cost-effective option when compared to the likes of Mbappe or Haaland, even though Real Madrid are among the top contenders to sign the latter this summer.

It may not be the best of moves for Tottenham, though, knowing Bale is well past his prime and will cost a fortune in terms of salary. It will be coupled with the further departure of Kane, thus creating a massive void in their offensive unit while also leaving the future of Son uncertain.
