Juventus are plotting a shock move for Manchester United superstar Marcus Rashford, who reportedly brings an unrivalled brand value.
According to Daily Mirror, as relayed by Transfer Market Web, Juventus have emerged as the latest club to be linked with a shock move for Marcus Rashford. The Manchester United star has garnered worldwide attention and represents a strong brand value, which is why he was also courted by Real Madrid and Barcelona.
It appears Juventus have now got in on the act as they continue their strong marketing scheme that is destined to die down after the potential retirement of Cristiano Ronaldo. Rashford, it seems, has been identified as an ideal successor, not only from a marketing perspective but also from a sporting perspective.
The English international is already regarded as one of Premier League’s finest attackers, having enjoyed immense success since his breakthrough at Manchester United. Rashford has been notably involved in 25 goals in all competitions, with his 17 goal involvements in the Premier League helping the Red Devils mount a strong title challenge this season.
Rashford is quite versatile as well, as he can operate on either flank and even as a centre forward. And despite being 23, the Englishman has notched up 164 appearances in the English top-flight for Manchester United while winning 39 caps for the Three Lions. His experience at the highest level of football does indeed make him an appealing target for a top club like Juventus.
Unfortunately for the Bianconeri, Manchester United dwarf them when it comes to club value, and Rashford’s decision to leave the Premier League in favour of a move to Serie A is highly unlikely. The English top-flight offers more spotlight and attention, as well as giving him the better opportunity to nail down a guaranteed spot in the England national team.
More importantly, Manchester United have improved significantly in regards to their performances. They have already emerged as a strong title contender in the ongoing campaign, giving Rashford further incentive to remain at the iconic Old Trafford and potentially become a club legend in the future.
Juventus, in contrast, seem to have lost their hegemony in Italian football. They are mere outsiders in the ongoing Serie A title race, with the Milan clubs currently at the top. They can, however, target other and perhaps better alternatives, with Erling Haaland, for one, offering a lot of potential.
