Real Madrid have reportedly submitted an offer of €130 million plus one of their first-team superstars in a bid to sign former Barcelona attacker Neymar.
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Neymar is the subject of a shock bid from Real Madrid, who are attempting to prise the player away from PSG amid interest from former club Barcelona. Real Madrid have reportedly offered one of their first-team players along with a considerable €130 million to land the Brazilian icon.
The report states that Real Madrid have offered PSG the option of choosing one between beleaguered attacker Gareth Bale and the returning Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez, both of whom are reportedly not in Zinedine Zidane’s plans.
Neymar Jr. is arguably one of the best footballers in the modern game. In 2017, he completed a move to French giants PSG for a ridiculous sum of €222 million from Barcelona.
Life in Paris hasn’t been all sunshine for Neymar. His antics on and off the field have pulled him down and it won’t be wrong to say his performance have been overshadowed by teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe who has set Europe on fire with his staggering performances.
Neymar also recently went on to add he wants a move away from PSG and return home which shows his desperation to get back to Barcelona. The Catalan giants have been tipped to offload Coutinho among many other stars, which would leave the club with just Ousmane Dembele and Malcom as their wide stars.
Also, Dembele is the only one who has managed to impress at the club. But, the Frenchman has struggled with injuries, leaving Valverde with little choice as far as world-class quality is concerned in the attacking trio that is certain to consist of Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.
After a dismal 2018-19 season, Spanish heavy weights Real Madrid have raided the transfer market spending in surplus of €300 million including the signing of long-term target Chelsea starlet Eden Hazard.
Real Madrid now have their eyes set on Neymar offering PSG €130 million for the Brazilian and also Colombian attacker James Rodriguez or Gareth Bale. A three-pronged attack of Hazard, Bale and Jovic would be a fearsome trio for Real Madrid, who are looking to usher in a new era of dominance after the disappointing 2018-19 campaign.
If Real Madrid go on to acquire the signature of Neymar , having a successful campaign looks inevitable. Neymar has already proven himself in La Liga with Barcelona scoring close to 100 goals in his time with the Blaugrana.
The Neymar transfer saga has been doing rounds since the beginning of the transfer window and as Barcelona are also keen to bring Neymar back at the Camp Nou this makes the situation even more interesting.
It would now be upto Neymar to see what destination suits him best. He is no doubt one of the greatest players in the game and any team in Europe would strive to have a player of his quality in their arsenal.
