Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale is uninterested in a summer move to the Premier League, amid interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.

As per a report by Spanish publication AS, Gareth Bale has no interested in leaving Real Madrid in favour of sealing a return to the Premier League in the summer transfer window. The Welsh superstar has been sounded out by Manchester United and Chelsea, with Los Blancos open to the idea of selling him.

Gareth Bale’s time at Real Madrid has been quite strange to say the least. While the Welsh international has always shown a tendency to come up with a key contribution in important matches, his spell with Los Blancos has been blighted by a spate of injuries that have restricted his game time considerably.

Chief among his game changing performances include two match winning showings in the Champions League finals in 2014 and 2018, with Bale even being adjudged the man of the match in last season’s final. But, the current season has continued the trend of injury-riddled absences, meaning he has started just 23 of the 41 games that Real Madrid have played.

Upon recovering from his latest fitness related complaint, the 29-year-old has been unable to reclaim his place as a regular, with Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius Junior impressing Santiago Solari. And, it looks like Bale might be on course to being shown the exit door at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The report suggests that Real Madrid are open to the idea of selling Bale, with his absences making him a liability. Indeed, with the breakout of Vinicius Junior coupled with the reported pursuit of an attacking reinforcement for the summer – Los Blancos are confident of signing Eden Hazard – Bale will have a lot of competition for a regular slot.

Add to it the fact that Rodrygo will also be arriving at Real Madrid in the summer, and it is not a huge surprise that the player could be put on the market. And, the former Tottenham superstar has admirers in a couple of Premier League heavyweights.

Manchester United, who have previously been linked quite heavily with Bale, and Chelsea have sounded out Bale’s representatives with a view to a possible summer move. The player could potentially solve United’s long-standing problems on the right flank.

As for the Blues, it remains to be seen if they can make a move for him, considering they have been slapped with a transfer ban by FIFA for violating youth player rules. Bale, however, has no intention to return to the Premier League as he is happy and settled in Madrid, and is eager to see his contract out with Real.

This makes for an intriguing situation with the player’s eagerness to stay put at the Bernabeu making matters complicated for the Premier League duo. But, with Real Madrid ready to part ways with Gareth Bale, it will be interesting to see if he remains at the club beyond the summer.
