Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Andrija Zivkovic, with the Benfica winger also attracting interest from Arsenal
According to a report by TransferMarketWeb, Andrija Zivkovic is the subject of interest from Manchester United, who continue to court attacking talent. The Red Devils have joined Premier League rivals Arsenal in pursuit of the Benfica winger, who has been scouted by a gamut of clubs this season.
Zivkovic is a name that has a lot of excitement surrounding him, having made his senior debut for Partizan Belgrade at the nascent age of 17, with his international bow also coming at the same age. The player subsequently won the under-20 World Cup with Serbia before joining Benfica in the summer of 2016.
At the Portuguese club though, he has slowly gone about establishing himself in the first-team setup, having made 42 appearances over the last 18 months at Estadio da Luz. But, Zivkovic is a player who remains highly regarded, with several clubs, including Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United, monitoring his progress.
Can we just appreciate ALL of this play? The way he carries the ball from the midfield and is exactly where he is needed, while having the ability to finish with calm.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a summer move for the 21-year-old, with Arsene Wenger looking to bolster his attack. The Gunners lost the services of Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott in January, but haven’t added a natural winger since then.
In Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Arsenal have two strong playmakers supporting the finishing abilities of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. A natural winger will add more dynamism in attack, making Zivkovic a viable target.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have several players who provide a pacy outlet on the wings. But, Jose Mourinho still doesn’t have a naturally right-sided winger, which perhaps explains the Red Devils’ interest in the Serb.
Both Arsenal and Manchester United have scouted the player on numerous occasions so far this season, which explains that the two Premier League heavyweights like what they see in the youngster. But, with a whole host of clubs also having him watched, a transfer battle could be on the cards in the summer.
The duo might, thus, have to move quickly in order to secure the player’s services at the cheapest price possible, otherwise his transfer fee might escalate quickly. It now remains to be seen if Zivkovic indeed makes his way to England in the summer, with Arsenal and Manchester United set to make a move.
