Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on Christian Pulisic, who is also being targeted by Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
According to a report by Sport Witness, Manchester United are taking a keen interest in Christian Pulisic. The Red Devils are weighing up a summer move for the Borussia Dortmund attacker, who is also the subject of interest from Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
Pulisic is one of the most exciting commodities, not just within Germany but all across Europe. The American prodigy joined Borussia Dortmund in 2015, and after initially representing the club’s under-17 side for one season, he broke into the first-team setup at the nascent age of 17.
Since then, the player has firmly established himself in the first-team squad and is now a key member of the side. His impeccable progress has helped Pulisic attract interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world, with Liverpool reportedly in his pursuit for well over a year now.
The Reds are in need of reinforcements in attack following the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona last month. The fact that Mohamed Salah is being linked with a move away from Anfield also puts Liverpool in a precarious position.

Jurgen Klopp has, thus, identified Pulisic as a possible target, who can be a long-term solution in attack regardless of whether Salah leaves or not. But, Liverpool face stiff competition from Manchester United in pursuit of the teenage prodigy.
The Red Devils lack a player who can provide width on the right flank, with the arrival of Alexis Sanchez seemingly not solving that problem either. Pulisic’s ability to play through the middle also makes him an attractive prospect for Manchester United, notwithstanding the immense potential he possesses.
But, a third party is also trying to scupper Liverpool’s prospects of signing the 19-year-old, with Bayern Munich reportedly in his pursuit as well, as they lay down the succession plan for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery, both of whom are in the twilight of their careers.
Dortmund, though, are unwilling to see another one of their star players make the switch to the Bavarian giants after the episodes surrounding the transfers of Mario Gotze, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels, providing Liverpool and Manchester United an advantage in Pulisic’s pursuit.
But, Liverpool may have an even more distinct advantage considering Jurgen Klopp’s history with Dortmund. The Reds, like Manchester United are also viewing the move for Pulisic from a commercial standpoint, and it remains to be seen if either club manages to finally secure his services in the summer.
