Transfer News: Arsenal and Real Madrid join Spurs and Liverpool in race for Christian Pulisic

Arsenal and Real Madrid join Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur as they step up their interest in Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic

As reported by The Sun, Arsenal and Real Madrid are the latest clubs to have shown keen interest in Christian Pulisic, as the teenager continues to help Dortmund win their first Bundesliga title since 2012.

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have been chasing Pulisic for a while, but the teenager has made a stellar start to the season, and that has attracted the likes of Arsenal and Real Madrid.

Dortmund signed the midfielder in the summer of 2015 to play for the club’s youth team. But Pulisic was quick to show his spunk and broke onto the Dortmund first team in early 2016. He has made an impressive start to the season under new manager Peter Bosz, playing every game so far and having two goals and an assist to his name.

Pulisic made an instant impact in the attacking midfielder’s role for Dortmund after Ousmane Dembele’s departure to Barcelona as he scored and assisted a goal in their opening day fixture against Wolfsburg. The 18-year old has also been a key player for the national team, scoring 7 goals in 14 appearances already.

The 18-year-old has a brilliant touch on the ball, and he can go past defenders with ease. Ideally, he would suit both the Gunners and Real Madrid, because of his sharp technical ability.

Liverpool and Tottenham have been chasing Pulisic for many months, but the former are most desperate to sign the attacking midfielder. With Philippe Coutinho’s future uncertain, the Reds crave a proper play-making technician in midfield.

Liverpool were close to signing Pulisic in the summer, and manager Jurgen Klopp suggests that had the Coutinho move come through with Barcelona, the Reds could have acquired Pulisic’s services.

However, both Dortmund and Pulisic have shown no sign to push a transfer. Pulisic claimed that he was happy at Dortmund as the club offered him a new contract at the start of the year, which he signed.

But with Real Madrid pursuing Pulisic, Dortmund can be sure to receive a big money bid for the player in the transfer window.
