Transfer News: Everton to rival Liverpool and Inter Milan in race to sign Emre Mor from Borussia Dortmund

Everton are reportedly set to battle it out with Liverpool, AS Roma and Inter Milan to obtain the signature of Borussia Dortmund’s Emre Mor

According to a report by The Sun, Emre Mor has attracted the attention of Everton as the club gets ready to battle Liverpool, Inter Milan and AS Roma in the hopes of landing a deal for the promising winger. Although Liverpool were believed to be ahead of the pack, Klopp’s interest could be hampered by his Merseyside neighbours.

The 20-year-old attacker joined Borussia Dortmund only last summer from FC Nordsjaelland. While he is talented, the youngster did struggle for game time due to which he is understood to be seeking newer pastures this summer.

Upon his arrival, Mor was given the opportunity to gather some first-team playing experience under Thomas Tuchel. The promising talent ended the campaign with a total of 19 appearances, during which Mor managed to record one goal and three assists for the side.

With Tuchel’s departure and the arrival of new manager Petsr Bosz, opportunities could be more difficult for the player to come by at the German club. A move to a different side seems like the best option, especially since that will allow him to get precious game time and experience.

Liverpool were earlier reported to be favouring a loan move but it looks like they could be targeting a permanent deal now. However, they will have to step up their pursuit since Mor clearly does not lack for options as far as his future club is concerned.

If Mor joins Liverpool, the youngster could go on to stake a claim for a regular spot in the first team since the Reds are in need of addition of depth to their attack. Having said that, it could also be likely that manager Jurgen Klopp looks at Mor as a long-term development project which could limit his game time.

A move to Italy to play for either Inter Milan or AS Roma can provide Mor with invaluable Serie-A experience, which will allow him to adapt more quickly to different leagues.

Since Mor is after regular game time, Everton seems like the best option for the player. The Premier League is touted as the most competitive league which means that it will be an intense experience. Mor can also benefit under Ronald Koeman’s watchful eye, thus allowing his talent to develop further.
