Juventus are reportedly prepared to move for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can and are readying a bid between €30 and €35 million
According to TransferMarketWeb, Liverpool will have to brace themselves for an approach for Emre Can, with Juventus preparing to move for the German international. The Bianconeri are ready to test Liverpool’s resolve with a bid between the €30 and €35 million mark.
Emre Can has not had a massive breakout season at Liverpool just yet, after joining the club from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2014. However, the player has slowly started gaining influence within the first-team setup at Anfield, especially after the arrival of Jurgen Klopp at the helm.
The player featured in 32 Premier League games, with all of his appearances in the midfield – as opposed to the previous campaigns. And, the 23-year-old is eyeing a regular spot in the middle of the park at Anfield for the long-haul.

But, the player has only a year left on his current deal and his persistence for higher wages has placed doubts on his future at Liverpool. Juventus are looking to pounce on the uncertainty surrounding his future and bring the German international over to Italy.
The Bianconeri have been linked to the player throughout the summer. Allegri is looking to add to his options in the midfield and while there has been recent shift of attention to Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, the Serbian’s preference to reunite with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United has brought Juventus back to Can.
At 23, Can serves as a potentially long-term addition for the club and with just a year left on his deal, the player could be available at a fee relatively cheaper than other midfield options. The player, too, might be tempted to join the Italian giants, with Juventus offering a better chance at trophies – both domestic and European.
Can, though, had earlier iterated to have struck a bond with Liverpool and wanted to emulate club icon Steven Gerrard and walk in his footsteps. While the player has slowly started showing glimpses of the potential to be that one day, it would be interesting to see if he opts to jump ship as Juventus come calling.

Jurgen Klopp could convince Can by promising him a more prominent role within the setup or perhaps even the vice-captaincy at the club – something which may bring in much ire from the other players that have served the club longer than the German.
This rumour has been doing the rounds for a long time this summer and with no improvement in Can’s contract situation, the transfer has a high probability of being done, especially with Juventus lagging behind in Matic’s chase.
