Manchester United are reportedly readying an ambitious £48.3 million move to resign PSG and former Real Madrid superstar Angel Di Maria in the summer.
According to an exclusive from The Sport Review, Manchester United are readying a sensational summer move to resign PSG superstar Angel Di Maria. The former Real Madrid superstar severed ties with United within a year of signing for the Red Devils. But, the Argentine could be set for a sensational return to Old Trafford.
Angel Di Maria has returned to form at Paris Saint-Germain after his move from Manchester United in August, 2015. However, the present season was disappointing for both the player and the club as PSG relinquished their control of the Ligue 1 title while also being knocked out by Barcelona in a rather disappointing manner for the French.
On a personal level as well, Di Maria boasted numbers miser for a player of his stature. 6 goals and 7 assists in the league – 14 goals and 15 in total – does not bode well for a player who racked up 10 goals and 18 assists last season in the league alone.
And there have been rumours linking Di Maria with an exit from Parc des Princes, especially with the arrival of Julian Draxler and Goncalo Guedes in January while the summer may see some more additions to the said position.
While Di Maria has been shockingly linked to Barcelona and a move to China, too, is reported to be doing the rounds, a potential return to Manchester United seems to be the most bizarre story related to the 29-year-old.

As per The Sport Review, Angel Di Maria wants to join a club that can guarantee a better chance for success and is interested in a reunion with his boss from his time at Real Madrid – Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese, too, has informed his friends that Angel Di Maria is the perfect fit for his United squad.
Manchester United hardly have wing presence in the current squad, which has often seen Mourinho deploy Marcus Rashford on the wing. However, the absence of pure wingers, especially with the poor form that Martial has showed, makes the addition of a winger even more imperative.
United have been linked vehemently with Ivan Perisic. However, with Inter Milan not keen to budge on their £44 million price tag of the Croatian, Manchester United are instead preparing a bumper £48.3 million bid for Angel Di Maria.
The Red Devils are prepared to offer a five-year contract worth around £210,000 per-week to the 29-year-old in order to convince him to return to Old Trafford. It would be interesting though, as to how United fans will take to the news.
The player was heavily criticized by fans for jumping the ship so soon and it will be intriguing to see if the fans accept the player back, if Di Maria ends up returning to Old Trafford.
