Arsenal, RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach are reportedly set to engage in a three-way tussle for Hoffenheim forward Nadiem Amiri.
TransferMarketWeb report that as per their sources in the UK, Hoffenheim starlet Nadiem Amiri is the subject of interest for Arsenal, who look set to make a move for him in the summer transfer window. The 20-year-old is also being tracked by RB Leipzig and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Hoffenheim have been one of the surprise packages in Europe this season, playing a refreshing brand of football under Julian Nagelsmann, who has managed to lead the club to quality for Champions League football for the first time in their history.

Naturally, there have been several success stories in Nagelsmann’s side this season. But if there’s one talent who has excited everyone the most, it’s the 20-year-old German starlet Nadiem Amiri. The player stormed into the first-team picture towards the end of 2015/16, and he has gone on to make rapid strides this season.
One of the first names on the team sheets now, Amiri has played all but one Bundesliga game for his side this season. And while a tally of 2 goals and 4 assists are modest numbers, he has made quite the impression with his work-rate and passing abilities.
The player is also attracting interest from some of the most prominent names in Europe. The latest in his line of suitors are Arsenal, Leipzig and Monchengladbach – all of whom look set to battle each other for his signature in the summer.
Arsenal are in a precarious situation, as far as attack is concerned. The futures of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are under question, and it is looking likelier by the day that the duo could depart at the end of the season.
Amiri, with the kind of promise that he’s shown, could take up the mantle of replacing either player. Moreover, his intelligent passing and link-up play make him the ideal midfielder in an Arsene Wenger side.
Meanwhile, Leipzig are aiming to build on their own successful season in 2016/17, and are looking to bolster their squad ahead of playing in the Champions League next season. Amiri makes for a viable option for Ralph Hasenhuttl to consider as a possible addition to his side’s attack in the summer.
Borussia Monchengladbach are set to embark on a rebuilding phase under Dieter Hecking after the club failed to secure European football for the next campaign. Amiri has proven his talent in Bundesliga and could prove to be a viable addition to the squad.
So, an enticing three-way battle seems to be setting up with Amiri being the central figure in it. It will now be interesting to see whether Arsenal are able to beat the competition and land the German sensation.
