Manchester United have reportedly taken up Helsingborgs IF prodigy Alex Timossi Andersson, who earlier had a short stint at Bayern Munich, on a week-long trial.
Daily Mirror have reported that Manchester United have taken up Helsingborgs IF wonderkid Alex Timossi Andersson on trial. The Swedish prodigy, who earlier spent a while on trial with Bayern Munich last year, is set to spend a week with the Red Devils.
Alex Timossi Andersson is the latest Swedish wonderkid to emerge on the radar of top-tier European football. Alexander Isak has already moved to Borussia Dortmund while Jesper Karlsson has been linked with Red Devils among others. And now Andersson, too, has come on the radar of Mourinho and his men.
Andersson has already tasted first-team action this season for Helsingborgs IF, owing to the club’s injury issues to an extent, as he played the full ninety in the Svenska Cup for his side. The player did not manage to score in the defeat but his performance still was an encouraging sight.

The player received a trial spell at Bayern Munich when he was a 15-year-old talent and is now set to spend a week in Manchester in an attempt to impress Nicky Butt and others. Helsingborgs IF manager Per-Ola Ljung confirmed in an interview to HD that the player has indeed traveled to Manchester for the aforementioned.
Ljung said,“ We can confirm that he is coming to Manchester to visit United. Manchester United have for some time wanted to meet Timossi Andersson, but the more important thing to have come between. School. We thought it was appropriate to do it now so he does not miss anything in the school and that he could do it under his goodness.”
The player trained with the Bayern Munich Under-17 side during his short stint with the Bavarians and is expected to feature for United’s Under-18 side during his week-long trial spell.
United already have super talents like Nishan Burkart, Joshua Bohui, Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes, Indy Boonen among others and if all goes well, young Alex could be set to join what is already a star studded youth squad at Carrington.
