West Ham United are reportedly set to rival Tottenham, Liverpool and others in the pursuit of exciting Paris Saint-Germain defender Fode Ballo-Toure.
According to French publication MadeinFoot, several top clubs are interested in Paris Saint-Germain defender Fode Ballo-Toure. The youngster is reportedly on the radar of the likes of West Ham, Tottenham, Liverpool and Everton from England while the likes of Nice, Rennes and Lille are also pursuing the player.
20-year-old Toure, the French youngster is a part of the reserves at PSG and is a regular face in the UEFA Youth League for the French heavyweights. Fode is a natural left-sided defender with the ability to play centrally as well as a left winger.
West Ham have a real dearth of options at left-back, with Aaron Creswell the only fit player for the position, as new signing Arthur Masuaku failing to establish himself at the Olympic Stadium. The Hammers were heavily linked with Kieran Gibbs but a move failed to transpire.

Tottenham have Danny Rose and Ben Davies but both have been linked with a move away from the club, with Manchester City the club credited with interest in both of them. Tottenham have a recent history of acquiring young promising talents and the same could be the case with Fode Ballo-Toure.
Liverpool, again, have a dearth of options, with James Milner the first-choice left-back for Klopp. But, as well as the player has performed, a more natural option would be ideal for the coming season.
PSG, on the other hand, have Maxwell and Layvin Kurzawa as their left-backs and Unai Emery would hope to retain Fode, for Maxwell is already 35 and would need a replacement soon. Fode is yet to make the senior grade at Parc des Princes. Although, it may happen soon enough, with the player putting in continuously impressive shifts.
However, as per the report, the player’s contract is up for expiry at the end of the season, which may see the player leaving the defending French champions. And, in case that happens, there are several suitors for a player that is tipped to become a formidable left-back in the future.
The herd of English and French clubs have already started lining up for the 20-year-old and it may not be long before several others join them in the pursuit of the young defender.
