The Gunners are said to be willing to break the bank to acquire the services of the highly-rated Spanish midfielder.

Spanish outlet Don Balon has sensationally claimed Arsenal have been alerted by the enormous potential of 21-year-old Marcos Llorente, and as such the Premier League club are willing to meet any asking price demanded by the Los Blancos for their young starlet.

Marcos Llorente is reportedly an admirer of the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, which may have tempted the English side to explore the possibility of bringing the Spanish midfielder to the Premier League.

Arsenal believe the Real Madrid youth graduate has all it takes to become a top class player in his position and could potentially be their mainstay midfielder for over a decade.

The reports suggests Arsene Wenger wants to sign Marcos Llorente as a part of the succession planning for the next manager who will take charge of the North London based club, with the legendary French head-coach expected to bow out sooner rather than later.

The U21 international is currently on loan at Deportivo Alaves, where he has been a recipient of rave reviews from across the globe for his impressive displays for his loanee club this season.

Marcos Llorente shares a rich lineage history with Real Madrid, with his grandfather, father and great uncle having appeared for the Spanish giants. As such, the 21-year-old dreams to follow the footsteps of his family members and prove himself at the Madrid based club.

While the report suggests Arsenal are willing to offer a blank cheque to secure the signing of Marcos Llorente, Zinedine Zidane is said to rate him very highly and the player is believed to be in the club’s long-term plans. As such, a move won’t definitely be straightforward for the Gunners, even more so after considering the fact that the Spanish giants have been slapped with a transfer embargo until 2018, which makes it essential for the club to hold on to their promising players.
