Juventus Director General declares Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala “not for sale”

Juventus Director General Beppe Marotta spoke of Paul Pogba, Paulo Dybala and Edinson Cavani.

Juventus Director General Beppe Marotta spoke to the media ahead of Juventus’s match against Fiorentina, and he said the club’s first priority in the summer would be to retain their best players before looking for new additions. He also said that the only players that will leave are the ones who wish to by their own accord.

According to a report published by Football Italia, he said “Paul Pogba and Paulo Dybala are not for sale, while we’d like to keep Juan Cuadrado” from Chelsea.

“Pogba and Dybala are the core of the team, so we will not sell them.”

Since joining the bianconeri, Paulo Dybala and Paul Pogba have had interest considerable interest from other top clubs in Europe. Pogba, especially, has attracted a lot of attention with his performances, with many claiming he could well be one of the best midfielders in the world right now.

Juan Cuadrado, who joined Juventus on loan from Chelsea, has been constantly linked with a permanent move to the club. But reports suggest incoming Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to bring the winger back to Chelsea for next season. Marotta spoke about the possibility of keeping him at Turin and said, “We’d like to keep Cuadrado, but we have to discuss it with Chelsea first,” further stating “It’s only natural Conte will try to keep the best players. Cuadrado has been very important for us, so we’ll evaluate what can be done.”

The Juventus Director General also spoke about his club being constantly linked with Edinson Cavani, stating that it depended on whether PSG would let him go. He said “Cavani depends on whether PSG want to sell him. I am always talking about quality, as this has been our growth process, adding more and more quality each year.”

The Uruguayan hitman has been a long time target for Juventus, who are always looking to add more firepower to their strike force, one which already boasts the likes of Mandzukic, Morata and Dybala. Cavani has been reported to have become frustrated with constantly being played out of position and has been linked to top clubs like Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea.

Juventus’ busy summer

With the likes of Pogba, Morata, Bonucci, Dybala and others all being linked with moves away from the club, Juventus are set to have a busy summer ahead. Keeping these players will be a difficult task considering the lure of other bigger clubs and wages being offered elsewhere. The aforementioned players are nearly impossible to replace in today’s market and Juventus will have quite an uphill battle if they lose these players.
