Runaway league leaders FC Barcelona will be hoping to extend their 11-game winning run in the Liga BBVA when they take on Getafe, with manager Luis Enrique expected to rest a number of first team players ahead of the clash against Arsenal in midweek.
Barcelona will play Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, and manager Luis Enrique is expected to rotate his squad, giving chances to a number of squad players when they face strugglers Getafe at home in the weekend.
While the front three are expected to be more or less the same as in the majority of the season, the rest of the squad and especially the defence is expected to be rotated.
Enrique expected to rotate
Their opponents in the weekend, Getafe, have now lost 7 out of their last 8 games in the league and are just a point away from the relegation zone.
Enrique is expected to play the likes of Jeremy Mathieu, Sergi Roberto and Arda Turan while giving rest to Busquets, Rakitic and Jordi Alba ahead of the second leg tie against Arsenal.
Thomas Vermaelen is expected to take the place of the suspended Javier Mascherano, while Claudio Bravo will get the nod ahead of Marc Andre Ter-Stegen, who is expected to play in the midweek fixture.
Aleix Vidal will play as the wingback, with Andreas Iniesta completing the midfield triad.
Neymar returns
Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez will be joined by the returning Neymar, who was suspended for the last game.
The Brazil star has been the highest assist-maker for the Catalans, laying down 12 goals for his teammates, which is 5 more than Lionel Messi and 2 more than Luis Suarez.
Luis Suarez, on the other hand, will be hoping to catch Cristiano Ronaldo on the top of the La Liga goalscoring table, having scored 26 goals so far in comparison to the 27 scored by the Portuguese.
