Manchester United Team Update: Jones, Valencia And Fellaini Return From Injury

Having won their last four games in all competitions, Manchester United will be looking to add another victory to their crown with a win against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns.

Although these three players are fit for the next Premier League fixture, Louis van Gaal is still contemplating as to whether or not to play these players, given their long-term absence from first-team football.

According to the club website, Louis van Gaal said, “Players are coming back but then, normally, they cannot play a match because the rhythm of the game is much higher. So, we have to train more and let them play in the second team.”

As the boss assesses his options to include in the playing XI ahead of their game against West Brom, the trio could prove to be great reinforcements to his side.

Valencia and Jones can be an asset in the defence, as also the towering Belgian, who scored his first goal for the club against West Bromwich Albion last season.

However, chances are that if not in the starting XI, the trio will be placed on the bench, as Van Gaal might decide to name them in the club’s next Manchester Senior Cup fixture against Oldham Athletic.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ashley Young might also bounce back into action this month as they start training next week. Will Keane is recovering from his groin operation last week and is expected to train on Tuesday.

Louis van Gaal is all praises for Rashford

The player of the month for February is at the receiving end of nothing but praises from the Dutch manager, following his impressive form in the past three first-team fixtures for Manchester United.

According to the club’s official website, Louis van Gaal said, ” Age is not important, it is quality. I hope he has a good end to the season. Most of all, I hope he is allowed to develop as an 18-year-old should and people don’t try to put him under enormous pressure.”

There has been speculation surrounding the 18-year-old’s call-up to the England squad ahead of the European Championship this year.
