Two first half goals from debutante Marcus Rashford put Manchester United in the driving seat as Arsenal suffered yet another setback in the title race this season. While Welbeck and Mesut Ozil gave the Gunners a fighting chance in the game, United held on to their lead to earn three points at Old Trafford.
Despite a flurry of goals, it was Louis van Gaal who provided the best moment in the game as he crashed to the ground while remonstrating in front of the fourth official. As a bemused Arsene Wenger looked on, fans took to social media to celebrate the Dutchman’s antics. In sharp contrast to Louis van Gaal, Arsene Wenger was the subject of much criticism as he was rebuked by the fans for failing to win against a second-string United lineup.
Here are the best reactions to the game.
Pretty disrespectful of Louis van Gaal to imitate the collapse of Arsenal’s season.#MUFC pic.twitter.com/drlXMxFXoX

Louis van Gaal certainly made that long wait for him to come into the technical area worthwhile. Sensational stuff.

75′ – Drama! Louis van Gaal comes out of his seat to remonstrate with the fourth official and deliberately falls over to make a point. #mufc

Louis van Gaal with a dive Ashley Young would be proud of!#MUFCvAFC

THIS JUST IN: Michael Owen reckons Louis Van Gaal didn’t suffer any contact, and thus, it was a dive.

Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger was severely criticised for failing to take advantage of Manchester United’s injuries at Old Trafford.
congrats @Arsenal, beaten by LVG and his random Academy boys. The banter era continues, stronger than ever.

Stuffed by Barcelona’s Galacticos.
Stuffed by United’s kids.
Great week, Wenger.
Who CAN you beat exactly?— Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) February 28, 2016
.@Arsenal couldn’t even beat the worst Chelsea side and worst United side in over 50 years.
That’s where they are as a club.

Manchester United could give 11 random fans from the stands full kits and they’d beat Arsenal’s best lineup
