Following Arsenal FC’s 0-0 goalless draw against the Saints, fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment at an underperforming team, who have fallen behind Tottenham Hotspur in the league table.
First is temporary, fourth is permanent#ARSENAL

It’s not just a game anymore it’s been a month that has seen us go from first to our famous Arsenal fourth and it’s just embarrassing now — Simran (@SimBerryy) February 2, 2016
Arsenal had to win that game. It was unacceptable that they didn’t. Wenger’s side are choking.

Arsenal and fourth position is a true love story fam. Even though they break up and separate for a season, they’ll always be together. — SoopaDoopaDREYY ✌✌ (@iDREYY) February 2, 2016
Its like there’s a special magnet that keeps attracting Arsenal to that fourth position.

Although fans took a dig at Wenger and his squad, Ozil remains a hero
With 16 assists so far in the season, this has been Mesut Ozil’s best season for the Gunners so far, and the fans remained highly appreciative of his abilities even after the draw.
Ozil created 10 chances in the match, but the finish wasn’t up to the mark as Fraser Forster was having one hell of a day.
Mesut Ozil created 10 chances tonight. TEN.
Got to win those sort of games.

Imagine being Mesut Ozil. Imagine creating 10 chances and seeing them all wasted. 10 COTTON-PICKING CHANCES. These lot don’t deserve him.

Mesut Ozil just produced a touch on the ball that should probably be pixelated out on Match of the Day in the name of decency
