Manchester City decide to give their ace goalkeeper Joe Hart a break, while Everton will be boosted by the return of fullback Seamus Coleman, as they head into the second leg of their Capital One Cup Semi-final.
Everton beat the Citizens 2-1 on home turf and will be travelling to the Etihad Stadium looking to manage a draw at least, so that they progress to the final and make it a Merseyside derby between them and Liverpool FC for the Capital One Cup.
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has stated that he will be giving regular goalkeeper Joe Hart a rest, and playing Argentine shot stopper Willy Caballero instead. Otherwise, the starting XI will most likely be unchanged from the one that played against West Ham United on Saturday. The Citizens cannot really tinker much as they still have a long list of walking wonded that include the likes of Samir Nasri, Vincent Kompany, Aleksandar Kolarov, Wilfried Bony and Eliaquim Mangala.
The Toffees meanwhile will be missing Muhamed Besic and Kevin Mirallas through injury. Their defence will be bolstered by the return of Phil Jagielka, who was rested on the weekend, and Seamus Coleman, who has recently recovered from an injury. There will be a change in goal for them too, as Joel Robles is set to replace veteran American goalkeeper Tim Howard, who is not having a great season.
Everton fans will also be hoping that Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy can start the match, as he faces a late fitness test.
