Jurgen Klopp Gives May Deadline To Faltering Liverpool FC Players

Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp has told his Liverpool FC players that they will be judged at the end of the season, while also admitting the rising pressure for building a winning culture at Anfield.

The manager may have changed, but Liverpool FC players’ hot and cold performances continue, prompting fans and management to start pointing at the dearth of real quality at Anfield.

A new manager usually brings in his own staff and rings changes to the first team to implement his style of play. Jurgen Klopp, so far, has given every indication that he wants the current crop of players to be given a fair chance before he decides to bring in new players.

Klopp issues May ultimatum

Speaking ahead of the Arsenal FC clash, the German was quick to re-assert his opinion that the players would be judged on a season-to-season basis and the current crop of players have until May to prove their case to him.

He was quoted saying by the Guardian: “I always say with players that I don’t sign contracts but it’s a contract for one year – a very good season the player can leave, a very bad one and the club will let the player leave.

“Anything can happen. In this year we are only focused on trying everything to make a season that when we are old and grey we can look back and say it was really worth it, that we found new friends, had success, all those things.

“It’s an agreement. You have to try things. Pressure is there but the art is only to feel the pressure to win games.”

Klopp admits to feeling pressure of winning

Liverpool FC currently sit 12 points behind league leaders Arsenal FC, who come to Anfield later tonight. With the battle for fourth place well and truly underway, the Reds’ manager admitted that there is pressure on him to deliver.

Klopp went on to add: “There is pressure on all of us but it’s not the time or the moment to think of it.

“I feel pressure before each game and between them, of course, but only to develop and improve as quickly as possible. I have to accept the situation.

“I don’t know which is our best game. I think: ‘Let’s recover for three days, on the fourth and fifth days train, sixth play again and take the next step.’ But that’s a dream world. You have to react in a normal one. For the players it’s the same.”
