David de Gea and Marcus Rashford return, while Marcel Sabitzer needs to wait to make his Manchester United debut heading into the game against Crystal Palace.
Erik ten Hag has made two changes to the side that beat Nottingham Forest earlier this week as Manchester United get set to welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford. The shuffles begin between the sticks, with David de Gea replacing Tom Heaton in the goal.
The back four remains unchanged, partly due to the injury problems in ten Hag’s squad. So Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw continue as the two full-backs. Meanwhile, Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez form the central defensive partnership.

As for the midfield unit, Casemiro and Fred should form the double pivot. So deadline-day signing Marcel Sabitzer is on the bench and will likely make his debut later in the game. Kobbie Mainoo is another backup midfield option for ten Hag. Bruno Fernandes is the most advanced midfielder for Manchester United, reprising the no. 10 role. The Portuguese international also dons the captain’s armband.
Meanwhile, Anthony Martial has seemingly picked up another injury and does not make the squad. Wout Weghorst thus leads the line for Manchester United against Crystal Palace. Marcus Rashford returns to the eleven, featuring on the left flank. Finally, Antony takes his place on the right wing. Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho are among the backup attackers for ten Hag.
