Liverpool Confirmed Lineup vs Manchester United: Firmino starts up front; Gomez comes in at the back

Jurgen Klopp has named a strong starting lineup to face Manchester United as Joe Gomez comes in the defensive unit and Roberto Firmino starts up front.

Jurgen Klopp has seemingly named his best available starting lineup for the Manchester United clash, as Roberto Firmino and Joe Gomez come into the side.

It is a monumental fixture at hand, and despite Liverpool’s issues with injuries, the team seems to be stronger. After Nat Phillips’s performance against Crystal Palace, it was imperative to bring Gomez back into the fold, with Joel Matip still injured.

Virgil van Dijk will partner Gomez at the heart of the Liverpool defence, flanked by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson on either side. Fabinho has dropped down to the bench, with Jordan Henderson, James Milner, and Harvey Elliott preferred in midfield.

Mohamed Salah starts for Liverpool on the left side of the attack, with Luis Diaz on the other flank. Firmino will lead the line against Manchester United and take up the No.9 role for Liverpool in the absence of Darwin Nunez, who remains suspended.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson; Elliott, Henderson, Milner; Salah, Firmino, Diaz
