Manchester United Confirmed Lineup vs AS Roma: Greenwood in for Rashford; rare start for van de Beek

Mason Greenwood and Donny van de Beek return, but Marcus Rashford has been rested as Manchester United prepare to take on AS Roma in the Europa League.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made three changes to the side that started in the 6-2 win over AS Roma last week as Manchester United get set to lock horns with the Giallorossi in the UEFA Europa League semi-final second leg at Stadio Olimpico.

There are no shuffles in goal, where David de Gea retains his spot as expected. The defensive line in front of him, though, has one change, with Eric Bailly replacing Victor Lindelof. Bailly pairs up with captain Harry Maguire at the heart of the Manchester United defence, with Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka starting as the two full-backs again.

Up ahead in midfield, Donny van de Beek has been handed a rare start by Solskjaer. The Dutchman partners Fred in the double pivot, with Scott McTominay making way. Meanwhile, there is no looking past Bruno Fernandes in the no. 10 slot, with Manchester United talisman not afforded a rest.

The third and final change comes in attack, where Mason Greenwood replaces Marcus Rashford, who gets a much-needed breather. Greenwood starts on the right flank, with Paul Pogba taking his place on the left wing, while Edinson Cavani is set to lead the line for Manchester United against AS Roma again.

Manchester United Starting Lineup: de Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Shaw, Fred, van de Beek, Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Pogba, Cavani
