Adrian comes in for Alisson in goal as Liverpool lock horns with Sheffield United at the Bramall Lane later this evening.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has opted to make two changes from the side that were defeated in the Merseyside derby, for the upcoming game against Sheffield United tonight.

Both are forced ones as the newly injured Jordan Henderson makes way for Nat Phillips. The young defender gets the nod ahead of new signing Ben Davies, at the heart of the four-man backline alongside Ozan Kabak while Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson occupy the full-back roles as usual.

The other change comes in goal where Alisson has been left out of the squad in the wake of his father’s demise. It paves the way for Adrian to return to the starting eleven.

Things remain unchanged in midfield, with Curtis Jones, Thiago Alcantara and Georginio Wijnaldum forming the second line of press. However, Jurgen Klopp has the option of James Milner, who has been included in the matchday squad after his recovery from injury.

In the attacking unit, Diogo Jota has failed to make the squad despite returning to training, which means Liverpool continue with the offensive trifecta of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah. Xherdan Shaqiri has been offered a lot of minutes lately and remains destined to feature as a substitute late on.

Liverpool Starting Lineup: Adrian; Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Kabak, Robertson; Jones, Thiago, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane
