Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made two changes to the side that won against West Ham on the weekend, for their UEFA Champions League fixture against Atalanta tonight.
The German tactician was devoid of defensive options heading into this game with Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho both ruled out through injury while Joel Matip was facing issues with fitness. Nat Phillips, who deputised for Fabinho in the win over West Ham, was also ineligible to feature in this competition.
As a result, Klopp has called up Rhys Williams, who had replaced Fabinho when he initially picked up a knock against Midtjylland last week. The youngster will partner Joe Gomez in central defence with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson occupying the full-back roles and Alisson starting in goal.
