Adrian starts in goal for Alisson Becker while Diogo Jota makes his first Premier League start for Liverpool as they take on Aston Villa.
Liverpool go into their Premier League encounter against Aston Villa without the services of first-choice goalkeeper Alisson Becker. The Brazilian picked up a thigh injury during training and as a result misses out, with Adrian starting between the sticks.
Trent Alexander-Arnold starts at right-back even though there were reports that the Englishman too was carrying an injury. At left-back, Andrew Robertson returns to the side as well after sitting out the cup tie in midweek. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez form the centre-back partnership for the Premier League champions against Villa.

Captain Jordan Henderson has recovered from his muscle problem, but has been named on the bench with Jurgen Klopp sticking with the midfield trio of Naby Keita, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum.
Finally, in the attack, Diogo Jota makes his first Premier League start for Liverpool following his big-money switch from Wolves. The Portuguese forward gets the nod in place of Sadio Mane, who tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week and is self-isolating. Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah complete the Reds’ attacking trident.
