Mesut Ozil makes his long-awaited return to the starting eleven while Hector Bellerin is the Arsenal skipper, for their Carabao Cup tie against Liverpool.
Unai Emery has made wholesale changes to the side that started in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace last weekend as Arsenal get set to take on Liverpool in the Carabao Cup fourth round at Anfield.
Emiliano Martinez starts between the sticks as expected, meaning Bernd Leno gets a rest. The back four has an entirely new look, with Hector Bellerin and Sead Kolasinac being the two full-backs, while Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding partner up at the heart of the Arsenal defence. Bellerin also dons the armband for the visitors.

Lucas Torreira has Joe Willock for company in the midfield double pivot, with Bukayo Saka and Ainsley Maitland-Niles being the two wide men in the Arsenal attack. The big news, though, is the return of Mesut Ozil.
Ozil has not featured for Arsenal since the 5-0 thrashing of Nottingham Forest in the third round of this competition and will reprise the no. 10 role. Gabriel Martinelli leads the line for Arsenal against Liverpool.
