Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is in a matchday squad for the very first time this season as Liverpool prepare to play hosts to Huddersfield Town at Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp has made just two changes to the side that got past Cardiff City last weekend, with the major omission being that of Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian has been excluded from the matchday squad altogether, meaning he has possibly been rested with the UEFA Champions League first leg against Barcelona in mind.
The official reasoning though, is that the forward misses out due to a minor muscular injury. Firmino has been replaced by Daniel Sturridge, who will lead the line for Liverpool against Huddersfield. The English striker is joined by Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in attack.

Behind them in the midfield unit, Klopp has chosen to make no changes, with Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Naby Keita all keeping their places. But, the big news surrounding midfield is that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is finally fit to make it to a matchday squad, and could make his first appearance of the season.
The second and final change, meanwhile, comes in defence, with Dejan Lovren replacing Joel Matip, with Joe Gomez missing out once again. Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson and Alisson Becker all keep their places.
