Manchester United Confirmed Lineup vs Everton: Dalot in for Young; Lukaku returns

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made three changes to the side that was beaten by Barcelona this week as Manchester United prepare to take on Everton at Goodison Park.

David de Gea keeps his place in goal despite his uncharacteristic howler in the UEFA Champions League tie. In what is a surprise, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has kept faith in Victor Lindelof as his right-back, with Phil Jones and Chris Smalling continuing at the heart of the Manchester United defence. In the left-back slot, Ashley Young has dropped out, with Diogo Dalot taking his place.

Up ahead in midfield, Scott McTominay has been surprisingly benched, with Fred keeping his place in the side. McTominay has been replaced by the fit-again Nemanja Matic, with Manchester United talisman Paul Pogba starting as well.

The attacking unit sees one change, with Romelu Lukaku being recalled. Lukaku replaces Jesse Lingard. Surprisingly, Anthony Martial starts, despite his lull in form, with Marcus Rashford completing the starting eleven. Lingard is among the backup options on the bench, that also include McTominay, Young, Alexis Sanchez, Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira.
