Trent Alexander-Arnold returns while Roberto Firmino misses out due to injury as Liverpool prepare to take on Watford at Anfield.
Liverpool’s usual number nine Roberto Firmino has failed to make the matchday squad to face Watford due to an ankle injury he picked up against Manchester United this past weekend. The Brazilian forward is replaced by Divock Origi.
The rest of the attacking lineup remains the same, with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane retaining their spots, while Xherdan Shaqiri and Daniel Sturridge are fall-back options on the bench. The only other change made by Jurgen Klopp sees Trent Alexander-Arnold replace Jordan Henderson.
That means James Milner has not only taken over the captain’s armband, but also moves to the midfield, with Alexander-Arnold lining up as the right-back. Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Andrew Robertson complete the defensive line, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho continuing in midfield. Alisson Becker keeps his place between the sticks as well.
