Trent Alexander-Arnold is one of two changes made by Jurgen Klopp to the side that beat Bournemouth two weeks ago as Liverpool prepare to host Bayern Munich at Anfield.
Alexander-Arnold replaces James Milner on the right side of the Liverpool defence, with the veteran Englishman dropping down to the bench. The other change made by Jurgen Klopp sees club captain Jordan Henderson return in midfield, with Georginio Wijnaldum and Naby Keita being his partners.
Henderson has replaced Virgil van Dijk, who is suspended for the game due to accumulation of yellow cards during the group stage. Replacing van Dijk at the heart of the Liverpool defence is Fabinho, who has Joel Matip as his central defensive partner, while Andrew Robertson keeps his place at left-back.
The attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino retain their places, with Firmino braving illness to start in attack. Xherdan Shaqiri, meanwhile, returns to the matchday squad after recovering from injury.
