Jurgen Klopp has made three changes to the side that thrashed FC Porto ten days ago as Liverpool prepare to host West Ham United at Anfield

Joel Matip is in for Dejan Lovren at the heart of the Liverpool defence, while Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Emre Can replace Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum. Milner will don the armband, with captain Henderson on the bench.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra is set to make his West Ham United debut, and will be looking to do his former side a favour by helping his new employers to a win. There’s no place for Javier Hernandez though, with Marko Arnautovic possible playing in the false nine role.
