Jurgen Klopp has made two changes to the side that dispatched Huddersfield Town in the midweek league game as Liverpool prepare to host Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield
Virgil van Dijk returns to the side after being rested for the game on Tuesday, taking Joel Matip’s place at the heart of the Liverpool defence. The other change sees Trent Alexander-Arnold replacing Joe Gomez at right-back. The front trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane remains unchanged.
Tottenham, on the other hand, are unchanged from their big win over Manchester United, meaning new boy Lucas Moura will have to wait before he makes his debut for Spurs. Harry Kane would be hoping to extend his strong record against Liverpool as he starts as the focal point of the visitors’ attack.
